I apologize, these pictures are a couple of months old- Tuck is a much bigger guy now! I'll put some post-2nd birthday pictures up soon.
from August and September-Tucker likes lounging around- perfecting some of his Dad's greatest skills.
Tucker rules this household, and gets carried around on the only within-house transportation system.
Tucker has learned what "smile" means.
Tucker is starting to do a lot of science around the house, plugging together devices to make new ones.
Tucker has also learned to kiss up to the breadwinners and here he is making us melt.
And he's a pretty decent cook nowadays as well!
Tucker looks hip in his ballcap- one can only hope that babes dig drool.
Tucker learns to dance with his dada.
Tucker is getting more curious about himself, as well as life in general. Here's Tucker towelling off after his bath, and here he is having a good look around.
Tucker is rapidly leaving behind toddler status, gaining physical coordination and bearing each day. Sometimes he looks 3 years old, if you ignore the drool, and he's started to enjoy interacting with the dogs. Another sign of maturity- the days of the cute shy little smile are over.
One of Tucker 's new, adult hobbies is photography (note Kersee's lifelike pose). And, like any true artist, his work becomes a part of him.
Tucker has a fondness for Tigger. In fact, he can be quite a Tigger himself, especially when he wears the costume his grammie made for him. He has a pretty good pounce, a very good roar, and excellent control of his tail.
Still flagrantly violating state and federal child labor laws, Tucker hauls water for us all the time, and has to feed the dogs twice a day.
Tucker enjoys the sport of the 90's: channel surfing. Note Kersee and Marlie, who provide surround-sound snoring effects.
Our snowy winter poses no problem for Tucker "the Snowcat" Harvey; he simply adds a few layers.
Tucker got to visit Toronto for his first birthday; most of the time he played in his hotel room. His first present was to get to sleep late with mama.
The nightlife in Toronto proved to be a bit much for him, however, and being a man-about-town demands serious naptime.
Right after returning from Toronto, it was time for Tucker's favorite holiday, Halloween! His grammy made him a wonderful dalmatian costume, which he insists on wearing to this day. Meanwhile, the dogs, particularly Kersee (seen in the background), did not understand why we needed a new dog in the family.
In August, Ralph's PhD advisor (Bill Cassidy) and his wife (Bev) stopped by to see Tucker. Tucker really liked Bill.
Tucker still loves to nap, and still loves his sock monkey. But most of all, he likes hangin' with Mama.
Meanwhile, in careless disregard for child labor laws, Tucker's mama and dada have put him to work sweeping and vacuuming. Kids are so gullible.
Tucker is now walking pretty well. When he really wants to cruise, he gets behind his little walker toy and really motors around.
Finally, a little cheesecake. Tucker's grammi gave him some speedos in late summer that turned our little boy into a real poser.
Here's a picture of Tucker and his dad being very patriotic.
Tucker is starting to get interested in the dogs; the interest is not always mutual. Here's a picture of Tucker visiting with Kersee.
Tucker is trying lots of new foods. When he finds something good, we call it a "Happy Meal".

Here's a couple of old pictures from our vacation (see the May pictures below). First is a picture of Tucker and his Dada sharing some lunch. Next is a picture of Tucker and his Dada sharing a book.
These are Dada's favorite pictures. Tucker loves to play with his sock-monkey (his grammy made it for him). And of course, Nothing is more exciting than a good sock-monkey!

Tucker has teeth now; he has a nice matching set on the bottom, and he's proud of it. You can see a closeup of his teeth here.
On Saturday May 30, Tucker got baptised. The ceremony was held in the West Woods park not far from our home. Pictured are (clockwise from left) Tucker's godmother Marta (holding Tuckerboy), Tucker's godfather Ed, our friend Harry the minister, and Harry's son Harrison.
Lately Tucker is having more and more fun around the house
helping with chores. Here he is sorting
laundry.

We went on a family vacation last week, and stayed in a cabin
with big, deep
couches. Tucker really thought crawling around on them was
fun.
We went hiking a lot, and by the end of the day most of us were pretty tired. Kersee, who has pretty much stuck to her "Baby? There's no baby around here-" act, even gave in and took a nap with Tucker.
