An aerial view of the Beacon Valley, another spot examined during a reconnaissance trip to the Dry Valleys. Unfortunately, we didn't find any meteorites, or any very promising sites, either- a good concentration of meteorites might be found wherever there is significant surface area and a very old surface age with low sediment deposition, but in the Dry Valleys such areas are not extensive enough to have many meteorites.
