This very large ordinary chondrite, from the Lewis Cliff Ice Tongue, is about the size and weight of a car engine. The specimen has been shaped into a pyramidal form by passage through the atmosphere. It also exhibits abundant salts produced during the meteorites time here on Earth, when minute amounts of terrestrial water, delivered in the form of wind-blown snow crystals, reacted with pristine, dry minerals found throughout the rock.
