The snow and ice of Antarctica are also a good place to look for micrometeorites. One particularly easy place to find them is in sediment traps downwind of meteorite stranding surfaces, where the small particles are sent to by the strong winds. A quick look through moraines lying downwind of an icefield often reveals abundant meteorite ablation spherules, as shown here.
