
Typically everyone quickly falls into a role when its time to collect a meteorite. John usually sets up the GPS and takes
notes; I also fill that role, depending on who gets there first. Someone else will grab a bag and open it while another
person measures the meteorite and estimates the amount of fusion crust and what type of specimen it is. The field party
members try to arrange themselve to keep out of the wind, since some of this work means baring your fingers to the -20 deg.
