ANTARCTIC METEORITE LOCATION AND MAPPING PROJECT (AMLAMP)
EXPLANATORY TEXT

Graves Nunataks - South Graves South Icefield

Approximately 40-50 kilometers southward of Graves Nunataks (86º43'S 141º30'W) are small, isolated ice patches associated with the gently rolling surface of the ice sheet. Ice appears to flow westward into the upper Scott Glacier. During the 2006-2007 season an ANSMET reconnaissance team visited the area and managed to search only one of the two most significant bare ice patches in the area. Three specimens were discovered during the search and are given in meteorite listing below.

Acknowledgments; The 2006-2007 ANSMET field party consisted of Lysa Chizmadia, Barb Cohen, Silvio Lorenzetti, and John Schutt.
